It’s a proud moment for Bangladesh as Ornob Barua, a student at Victoria University Sydney, has created a software application that is now replacing Microsoft Excel for staff scheduling at the university.
This new tool, developed under his own software brand called Avocadoo, is his first step into the world of SaaS (Software as a Service). The university has approved the project, which is now being tested and is likely to be used for the long term.

The software makes it much easier and faster to manage staff rosters, replacing the old Excel system. This is a big achievement for Ornob, who is studying Information Technology, majoring in Web and Software Development with a minor in Network Management.
What makes this even more special is that the app includes the Bangladeshi flag in the footer showing pride in his roots and representing Bangladesh’s growing presence in global technology.
Ornob hopes to grow Avocadoo into an international software brand, creating smart solutions that improve how schools, companies, and other institutions work making things simpler, faster, and better.
