Osman Hadi reacts to rumors about Shadik Kayem contesting Dhaka-8 in a facebook post.Social media has been buzzing with speculation that Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) Vice President and Islami Chhatra Shibir’s publication secretary Shadik Kayem is preparing to contest the upcoming national election. Rumors claim that he may run from the Dhaka-8 constituency.
Amid this ongoing speculation, Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho and a previously declared candidate from the same constituency, made a Facebook post about Shadik Kayem. On Saturday (6 December) night, Hadi wrote in a Facebook status:
Translation:“Shadik Kayem is my brother. If he contests from Dhaka-8, my election journey will become even more exciting, InshaAllah. Two passionate fighters of the July Uprising competing in the same seat — may Allah bless Shadik.”
Hadi further added:
Translation: “The tide of patriotic people is my workforce. The pure love and prayers of the sovereign people of Bangladesh are my strength. The entire battlefield of Dhaka-8 belongs to Hadi — a candidate without party lines. Justice Zindabad. Inqilab Zindabad.”
