Student Converts to Islam
Priojit Das, a student of the Mathematics Department at Pabna University of Science and Technology (2019-2020 batch), has officially embraced Islam.
“তেরা মেরা রিশতা কেয়া? লা-ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহু মুহাম্মাদুর রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা:) From 31/03/2024 to infinity.”
Translation: “What is the connection between you and me? There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). From 31/03/2024 to infinity.”
He confirmed the news in a Facebook post on Monday at 12 PM.
“ফেসবুক, হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ, ইনস্টাগ্রাম—আজই শিখে ফেলুন ৫০ টাকায় ৫০ হাজার মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছে যাওয়ার গোপন কৌশল!”
New Name and Social Media Response
After converting, Priyojit Das took the name Mohammad Usman Farhan. Social media users have widely welcomed him and sent prayers for his new journey in faith.

Role in July Movement
Priyojit Das was also an active participant in the July Movement at Pabna University, where he played a leading role. Though he embraced Islam on 31 March 2024, he publicly shared the news only recently.
