BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called on the government not to allow fascist Sheikh Hasina to engage in politics, accusing her of trying to destabilize Bangladesh.
Various attempts are being made to destabilize Bangladesh, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said,
ভারতে বসে নানান হুমকি দিচ্ছে ফ্যাসিস্ট শেখ হাসিনা। কোন দিনও ফ্যাসিস্ট শেখ হাসিনাকে দেশে রাজনীতি করার সুযোগ না দেয়ার শপথ নিতে হবে।
Translation: Fascist Sheikh Hasina is making various threats sitting in India. We must take an oath not to give fascist Sheikh Hasina a chance to do politics in the country any day.
He made this statement at a Chhatra Dal student rally held at Shahbagh in the capital on Sunday afternoon (August 3), which was organized to mark the anniversary of the July uprising. Mirza Fakhrul said,
বাংলাদেশে গণতান্ত্রিক রাষ্ট্র প্রতিষ্ঠার লক্ষ্যে এগিয়ে চলছে বিএনপি। গোটা দেশের মানুষ ফেব্রুয়ারিতে নির্বাচনের অপেক্ষায় আছে। তার আগে তারেক রহমানের দেশে ফেরার অপেক্ষায় আছে দেশের জনগণ।
Translation: BNP is moving forward with the goal of establishing a democratic state in Bangladesh. The people of the entire country are waiting for the elections in February. Before that, the people of the country are waiting for Tarique Rahman to return to the country.

He also said,
শুধু ৩৬ দিন নয়, বিগত ১৫ বছর ধরে গণতন্ত্রের জন্য প্রাণ দিয়েছে ছাত্র-জনতা। ছাত্রদের প্রাণ দেয়ার লক্ষ্য একটাই—সুন্দর বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণ।
Translation: Not just for 36 days, but for the past 15 years, students and the public have sacrificed their lives for democracy. The students sacrificed their lives for one purpose – to build a beautiful Bangladesh.
This was the first major mass rally of the Chhatra Dal after the July Uprising, in which a large number of student supporters and leaders participated.
