BNP Will Show Its True Colours If Back in Power
Islami Andolan Bangladesh’s Senior Nayeb-e-Ameer Mufti Syed Mohammad Faizul Karim said that if the BNP comes to power, people will clearly understand their real nature through experience.
“বিএনপি ক্ষমতায় যাওয়ার আগে তাদের নেতাকর্মীরা যা শুরু করে দিয়েছে, ক্ষমতায় গেলে কত ধানে কত চাল জনগণ তা হারে হারে বুঝতে পারবে।”
Translation: “Before coming to power, BNP activists have already started showing their behaviour. If they come to power, people will realize their true nature through bitter experience.”
He made this remark on Tuesday (November 4) at a public gathering organized by the Islami Andolan Bangladesh Palash unit at the BADC Bus Stand intersection in Palash, Narsingdi.

“No Government Has Truly Developed the Country”
Faizul Karim strongly criticized previous ruling parties, saying they all focused on corruption rather than development.
“বিগত সময় যেসব দল ক্ষমতায় ছিল তারা কেউই দেশের উন্নতি করেনি। লুটপাট আর দুর্নীতি করেছে। এর মধ্যে বিএনপি ক্ষমতা থাকাকালীন বাংলাদেশ তিনবার দুর্নীতিতে বিশ্ব চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়েছিল।”
Translation: “None of the parties that ruled in the past worked for the country’s progress. They were busy in looting and corruption. During BNP’s rule, Bangladesh became the world champion in corruption three times.”

Call to Establish a Peaceful and Just State
Faizul Karim also accused the BNP of being intolerant of opposition voices while pretending to support democracy.
“বিএনপি মুখে গণতন্ত্রের কথা বললেও প্রকৃতপক্ষে তারা বিরোধী দলকে সহ্য করতে পারে না। দেশে শান্তি, শৃঙ্খলা ও জনগণের রাষ্ট্র প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে আগামী নির্বাচনে সবাইকে ইসলামী আন্দোলন বাংলাদেশকে ভোট দিয়ে ক্ষমতায় আনার আহ্বান জানান তিনি।”
Translation: “BNP talks about democracy, but in reality, they cannot tolerate the opposition. To establish peace, order, and a people’s state, he urged everyone to vote for Islami Andolan Bangladesh in the next election.”

The gathering was presided over by Engineer Mohsin Ahmed, the Islami Andolan candidate for Narsingdi-2 constituency.
Other speakers included Maulana Arif bin Meher Uddin, Central Organizing Secretary of Islami Jubo Andolan Bangladesh; Rakibul Hasan, Islami Andolan’s Narsingdi District Secretary; Sheikh Sadi Shakil, District Organizing Secretary; and Sulaiman Bhuiyan and Ikram Hossain, President and General Secretary of the Palash branch respectively.
