Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has instructed that all rape and cases of violence against women be resolved quickly. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday (17 March), Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani shared this information. He added that ensuring justice for victims of rape and violence against women is considered one of the government’s top priorities.

Other Decisions in the Cabinet Meeting
Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani also mentioned that five issues were discussed in the same meeting.
- The Cabinet approved changes in the supplementary budget for the current fiscal year, which will be presented in parliament.
- A policy decision was also taken regarding a matter related to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
