Pran, one of the country’s largest food and beverage supplier company has taken initiative to invest BDT 600 crore in poultry sector by 2027 to feed the growing demand for eggs and chicken in the country. Pran exports its products, such as snacks, beverages, and dairy, to over 145 nations and is a household brand in Bangladesh.
Under this expansion, Pran will establish four modern chicken egg farms in Noakhali, Shariatpur, Chittagong, and Mymensingh. These egg-laying farms will provide 20 lakh eggs every day, one of the largest operations in the nation. Of the overall investment, BDT 400 crore will be invested in the egg farms, whereas BDT 200 crore in breeding and broiler farms to maintain a continuous supply of chicken.
This will bring about a new job for 2,000 people, giving a new source of income to the local people. With help from breakthrough tech, Pran will also ensure all of its productions remain efficient, cost effective, and high-quality, while maintaining reasonable prices for consumer goods.
With this investment, Pran reinforces its role as the main player in agriculture and food industry of Bangladesh, ensuring the nation food security, as well as rural development and economic growth. This move will serve consumers and the economy well with increased poultry consumption.
