REHAB Chattogram Fair 2025, the four-day housing exhibition, began today with the aim of exhibiting flats, plots, and other real estate and housing products.
The exhibition held at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View, Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Shahadat Hossain initiated the fair as the chief guest.
This is the 16th edition of the housing show, which is organized by the Chattogram regional office of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB).
When constructing buildings to minimize earthquake susceptibility at the opening ceremony, the mayor encouraged real estate corporations to comply with the national building code and the regulations of the Chattogram Development Authority (CDA).
Disobeying CDA regulations, he said that many apartment buildings are constructed too close to one another.
He said, this gap of spacing prohibits the natural flow of rainwater into ground, causing a reduce in groundwater levels.
At the event, REHAB President Md Wahiduzzaman, Senior Vice President Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, and Vice President and Chairman of the Chattogram Regional Committee Delwar Hossain also spoke.
A total of 16 real estate companies from Dhaka and Chattogram, five building material manufacturers, and also five financial institutions are preparing for the fair over 42 stalls.
In the fair, the entry fee is Tk 50 per person and Tk 100 for multiple entries. The fair gates will open daily from 10 am to 9 pm.
