In the first three days of June 2025, Bangladeshi expatriates sent $604 million in remittance to the country.
According to Arif Hossain Khan, spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank, this amount is equal to around Tk 7,368.80 crore (based on the exchange rate of Tk 122 per dollar).
Big Increase Compared to Last Year
Arif Hossain Khan also said that in the first three days of June 2024, remittance was $285 million.
So, compared to the same time last year, remittance has increased by 111.60%.

Total Remittance in the Current Fiscal Year
From July 1, 2024, to June 3, 2025, the total remittance received so far is $28.11 billion.
In the same period of the previous fiscal year (July 1, 2023, to June 3, 2024), remittance was $21.66 billion.
This shows a growth of 29.80% in remittance over the year.

The economy of Bangladesh is benefiting from this increased trend in remittances, particularly in terms of foreign exchange reserves and financial assistance from foreign employees.
