In a horrifying act of violence, a rickshaw puller named Fazlur Rahman (35) was brutally attacked by assailants in Rajshahi’s Mohanpur upazila on Saturday night. Despite suffering a deep stab wound to his throat, Fazlur astonishingly managed to drive his rickshaw nearly three kilometers to the Keshorhat market in the north.
Local residents rushed him to Mohanpur Upazila Health Complex, from where doctors referred him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH). Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries around 10 p.m. that night.
According to Sub-Inspector Modashwer Hossain Khan of Mohanpur Police Station, the attack took place in Shialkola area shortly after evening. Police suspect that the criminals attempted to snatch his battery-run rickshaw, slashing his throat when he resisted.

The deceased hailed from Amritpur village in Tanore upazila and was the son of Ibrahim Ali. Law enforcement officials confirmed that a murder case is being prepared over the incident.
