Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid Will Deliver Today’s Hajj Khutbah Official Speech of Hajj 2025

On the occasion of Hajj in the year 1446 Hijri, the esteemed Imam and Khateeb of Masjid al-Haram, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid  who is also a member of the Shura Council of Saudi Arabia  will deliver the Hajj sermon at the sacred plain of Arafah.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that this year, the distinguished scholar and prolific author Sheikh Saleh will be responsible for delivering the khutbah on the day of Arafah. Sheikh Saleh has led the Hajj sermon multiple times before and is widely respected and accepted among the global Muslim community.

The most significant part of Hajj, known as ‘Wuquf-e-Arafah’ (the standing at Arafah), will take place on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is expected to fall on Thursday, June 5, 2025 (depending on moon sighting). On this day, the sermon delivered at the plain of Arafah will be translated into various languages and broadcasted worldwide by the Saudi authorities.

Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading scholars. He is well-known not only as a judge and educator but also as an Islamic thinker. Every year, millions of pilgrims and hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world listen to his sermon live online.

Since 1993, Saleh bin Humaid has been a member of the Saudi Majlis al-Shura (Advisory Council). He served as the Speaker of the Majlis al-Shura from February 2002 to February 2009. Currently, he is the Imam of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. He is also a member of the Arabic Language Academy in Makkah and the President of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in Jeddah. In 2016, he was honored with the King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam.
