MKS Sports, the first-ever cricket bat manufacturing company in Bangladesh, is preparing to announce Shakib Al Hasan as its brand ambassador.
This new move aims to boost the company’s visibility both in Bangladesh and across the cricketing world. Though Shakib is currently not playing in the national team, his popularity in franchise cricket remains strong globally.
MKS Sports Founded by Cricketers
MKS Sports was launched in early 2023 by national team cricketers Imrul Kayes and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, along with professional bat-maker Hossain Mohammad Aftab Shahin. The company quickly drew attention in the cricketing world.
Since the beginning, several national-level players like Miraz, Shahadat Hossain Dipu, and Rishad Hossain have used MKS bats in international matches.

Shakib Joins Hands with MKS
A reliable source confirmed that an agreement between Shakib and MKS is already finalized. With Shakib’s global fame, the company hopes to grow internationally and strengthen its brand in competitive cricket.

Support for Young Cricketers
MKS is also supporting future cricketers. Before the U-19 World Cup in South Africa, MKS sponsored 8 out of 15 players from the Bangladesh squad. They promised to give each player 4 bats, 6 pairs of gloves, and 2 pairs of pads every year.
Aiming for the Global Market
The decision to bring in Shakib as the face of the brand shows that MKS Sports is aiming high. From local beginnings, they now hope to become a major name in global cricket equipment.
