Football Stars with International Roots Join Bangladesh Team
There’s a lot of excitement among fans for the Bangladesh football team because three players who grew up in other countries are joining. People were very happy to see Fahim Faysal Islam, who played in Italy, when he arrived at the airport. The same thing happened with Hamza Choudhury, who played in England, when he came to the national stadium – lots of fans were there. The third player is Shamit Shome from Canada, and he just arrived in Dhaka this morning around 5 AM.

These three players are like “three jewels” for Bangladesh football right now. They are the reason so many people are excited about the matches.

Training for Upcoming Games
Fahim Faysal Islam and Hamza Choudhury are already practicing for the upcoming matches against Bhutan and Singapore. Fahim has been training from the first day, and Hamza joined from the third practice session.
Shamit Shome Will Watch First Match
Even though Shamit Shome has arrived, he won’t be able to play in the match against Bhutan. He will come to the stadium to watch the game. He will start practicing with the team when they prepare for the match against Singapore.
Six Overseas Players in Total
Shamit has played three international matches for the Canadian national team, but now he will play for Bangladesh. Along with Hamza and Fahim, there are six players who grew up outside Bangladesh in the preliminary team for the Singapore match. The other three are Jamal Bhuiyan (Denmark), Tariq Kazi (Finland), and Syed Kazem Kirmani (Canada).
