Shanto’s ‘mistake’ against India, Bangladesh may be punished by ICC.

Bangladesh got off to a good start in the Chennai Test.  But the end of the first day was not good.  Ravichandran Ashwin scored a century despite Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli being sent back for a few runs.  Ravindra Jadeja also runs.  But Bangladesh bowled only 80 overs on the first day of the Chennai Test.  Which can endanger Nazmul Hasan Shanto.

As per ICC rules, World Championship points are deducted due to slow over rate.  The fewer overs a team bowls in time, the more points will be deducted.  Bangladesh bowled 80 overs on the first day.

90 overs are bowled every day in Tests.  But despite 30 minutes of extra play, Bangladesh could not complete the specified over.  Commentator Harsh Bhogle said, ’30 minutes of extra play has been played.  Even so, Bangladesh could not bowl more than 80 overs.  It cannot be accepted.

Bangladesh pacers bowled 50 overs in 80 overs.  Three spinners have done 30 overs together.  It took time for the pacers to bowl.  That is why Bangladesh could not complete 90 overs on the first day.  If there is a slow overrate in the entire test, then points will be deducted for Bangladesh.  Earlier, teams like England, Australia were also deducted points due to slow overrate.
