Air Ambulance Departs for Singapore
July movement leader Sharif Osman Hadi has been taken to Singapore for advanced medical treatment. An air ambulance operated by Osprey Aviation departed from Dhaka at 1:51 pm on Monday, carrying Hadi to Singapore.
The decision was taken after an emergency consultation involving Culture Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, the Chief Adviser’s health affairs special assistant Prof. Dr. Sayedur Rahman, Evercare Hospital specialists, and Hadi’s family members. The move followed consultations with hospitals in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia over the past two days.
Government-Level Decision and Arrangements
The transfer was carried out under the directive of Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Authorities confirmed that all necessary arrangements—including a medical air ambulance, a specialist medical team, and travel logistics—were completed in advance.
Doctors at Singapore General Hospital, particularly the Accident and Emergency Department, have made full preparations for Hadi’s treatment. Officials also confirmed that all medical costs will be covered by the government.
The Chief Adviser has instructed officials to remain in constant contact regarding Sharif Osman Hadi ’s condition and requested prayers from the public for his recovery.

Current Medical Condition: Doctors’ Assessment
According to the medical board formed for Hadi, his overall condition remains extremely critical.
Although kidney and lung functions are currently active, doctors warn that oxygen deprivation to the brain poses the highest risk to life.
A member of the medical board said:
“Hadi’s condition is still extremely critical.”
CT Scan Findings Raise Serious Concern
The medical board chief, Senior Consultant and Department Head of Critical Care Medicine at Evercare Hospital, Prof. Dr. Jafar Iqbal, stated in a press briefing that a repeat CT scan showed increased brain swelling, indicating a very alarming clinical situation. Said,
“রোববার সকালে পুনরায় করা সিটি স্ক্যানে দেখা গেছে, হাদির মস্তিষ্কের ফোলা আগের তুলনায় আরো বেড়েছে।”

Organ Functions and Ongoing Monitoring
Doctors reported that lung function and mechanical ventilation remain stable, with no major improvement or deterioration. Kidney function is currently maintained, and creatinine levels have slightly decreased.
However, due to brain injury, hormonal imbalance is affecting urine output, requiring intensive monitoring of fluids, electrolytes, and acid-base balance.
Blood pressure fluctuations and elevated heart rate have also been observed due to brain stem injury and increased intracranial pressure. Continuous medical support is being provided to stabilize vital signs.
Doctors Continue Intensive Efforts
The medical board emphasized that despite the critical condition, doctors are working with maximum professionalism, coordination, and dedication to ensure the best possible treatment for Hadi.
