A new wave of excitement is sweeping through the country’s business sector! At a seminar organized by FBCCI, Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin made some remarks that left some people dropping their tea cups in shock, while others rushed to Google for “Russell Viper”!

Sheikh Bashir Uddin stated, “We need to graduate.” In other words, our economy is still in its bachelor’s degree phase, wobbling like a nervous student before finals. He further emphasized that “We need to bring diversity to the economy.” It seems like our economy has been on a steady diet of rice and lentils and now it’s time to try burgers and pasta! If we truly want diversity, maybe we should also consider changing the color of our currency—purple, green, blue or even rainbow-colored bills!

Now, let’s get to the most intriguing part—after Sheikh Hasina left, ‘Russell’s Viper’ also disappeared! The Russell Viper is a venomous snake, capable of causing chaos not only in the wild but perhaps in the economy as well!
Sheikh Bashir Uddin stated, “When I hear such things, I think of the Russell’s Viper, which suddenly vanishes.” Does this mean that corruption, the metaphorical snake of our economy, has slithered back into its hole? Or has it simply been replaced by a new breed of foxes and rabbits?

He revealed that a staggering 28 lakh crore Taka had been stolen! Upon hearing this, the general public might wonder, “Did we accidentally order the entire country on Amazon or Temu?” But there’s a silver lining—apparently, theft has decreased now!
