Sherpur Floods Submerge 6,500 Homes, Leaving Thousands Displaced

The floods in Ujan, Sherpur’s Nalitabari, and Zhinayigati Upazila, caused by heavy rain and mountains, have destroyed at least 6,500 homes. Thousands of families are facing the loss of human life and heads—the soil’s most affected families. Instead of giving funds, the administration stated that the letter was delivered to the Ministry of Relief, along with a list of those harmed. In the event that a decision is made, they will be given out quickly.   On Friday, October 4, Sherpur’s people saw a terrible mountain of remembrance Although no one has ever witnessed this type of situation before, locals claim that the rainy season alternates between two and three times a year. The inhabitants of the four rivers, who descended from the Meghalayan mountains in India, created all of creation before they could understand anything. Because there hasn’t been any rain in the past three days, Uzan’s water level has been dropping. In the district’s Jhenaigati and Nalitabari upazila, the flood damaged at least 6,500 homes that were semi-taken, raw, or soil-only. Every one of these families is lost. After leaving the refugee centre, people are trying to find their way home and save all the stuff they need from damaged homes.   On Jhinaygati Upazila’s bridgepar area, Rasheda Begum said, “My three houses have been broken in the downward.” I am a poor person. I’m not thinking about fixing this house right now. According to Saiful Islam, a resident of Khalishakura village in Nalitabari Upazila, “My little girl was standing in the house with some kind of neck in water on the day of the day.” I believed that neither my mother nor I could be saved. I couldn’t rescue anything, so I took everything that was in front of me.I used to run auto-run; it was also destroyed. I don’t understand what I do.     The story of such helplessness is thousands of people in two upazilas. These poor people who eat day by day are more concerned about their heads of goose than their stomach hunger. The administration said it will help them rehabilitate by creating a list of the affected people.   Zhenaigati Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Ashraful Alam Russell said that 500 houses were completely devastated and 1,000 houses were partially destroyed. A list of victims is being created. They will be helped.   Nalitabari Upazila Executive Officer (UNO), Md. Masud Rana, said 4,68 houses were completely destroyed and about 1200 houses were partially destroyed in this upazila. The Supreme Authority has been informed for their rehabilitation.   Mahmudur Rahman, the District Administrator (DC) of Sherpur, stated that work on the flooded house was currently in process. The charitable ministry’s request goes beyond just providing money and metal. Give the distribution to the affected people once it’s been collected
