Multifaceted claims in political identity
Comprehensive questions have been raised about Siddique’s political identity. Journalist Abdullah Al Jobair posted on social media, writing, “Strange character Siddique!” He mentioned,
In front of the National Press Club, Siddique said that he was associated with Awami League politics and claimed that Jamaat would never win the three seats in Gopalganj.
He claimed to have only gone to observe the NCP’s election commission siege program. He came to the Chhatra Dal student gathering and said that he is not the BNP of today, but the BNP that he has been for a long time.
Last year, he was seen demolishing Sheikh Mujib’s house in Dhanmondi-32. In Friday’s incident, when he went to pay homage to Bangabandhu in the same Dhanmondi-32, the crowd present chased and beat him up. There is a lot of discussion on social media about his ‘mysterious’ political stance.
