In an effort to make government jobs more affordable, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced a reduction in application fees for government job exams. The move is aimed at easing the financial burden on job seekers and making these opportunities accessible to a wider group of people.
Here’s the new fee structure:
9th Grade or Non-Cadre Posts: Tk 200
10th Grade: Tk 200
11th & 12th Grades: Tk 150
13th to 16th Grades: Tk 100
17th to 20th Grades: Tk 50
All Grades (Non-Bangladeshi Citizens): Tk 50
Previously, application fees were considerably higher, with rates ranging from Tk 500 for higher-grade positions to Tk 200 for lower-grade roles. This new fee structure marks a significant reduction, making it easier for job seekers, especially those from lower-income backgrounds, to apply for government positions.
This step is seen as an important move toward providing equal opportunities for all aspiring candidates, regardless of their economic situation.
