The Ad-din Foundation is going to launch two Bell 505 helicopters with state-of-the-art medical equipment to furnish fast and modern services to severe and emergency patients, for the first time in Bangladesh.
The aircraft will start from next September, which is declined by Aid-din Hospital Executive Director Dr. Nahid Yasmin. He said, Already, Ad-Din Hospital uses an ambulance to transport doctors. With two new Bell 505s, patients who are in critical condition can also be transported across the country. Bell 505 is perfect for private rental, corporate executives, medical evacuation, utilities, public safety, pilot training, and so on, said Singapore-based Bell Textron Inc. The slender single-single helicopter provides a rare combination of rugged high performance, superior fuel productivity, and a low procurement and operation cost. Bell 505 sales Director Lane Evans said, “The sale of the first two Bell 505 helicopters in Bangladesh proves that organizations across the globe recognize the flexibility and efficiency the aircraft can bring to their respective missions.” The FADEC” engine is in its class with the only dual-channel; the helicopter has plenty of power at high ascent. Though the panoramic windows give high visibility for all seats, the high-tech G1000H NXi all-glass flight deck lowers the pilot workload. In 2017 the Bell 505 was first delivered, and today they have more than 360 aircraft in operation across six landmasses, logging more than 100,000 global fleet hours. They didn’t confess how much they invested to buy these two aircraft. Generally, a Bell 505 helicopter sells for $1.5 million or Tk 13 crore in other countries.
Currently, in our countries, 11 companies offer air ambulance service, such as R&R Aviation, Meghna Aviation Limited, Square Air Ltd, Impress Aviation Limited, South Asian Airlines Limited, and Partex Aviation with 31 helicopters. Normally, they have to provide Tk 1.2-3 lakh for these air ambulances. These air ambulances have bedside-to-bedside services for critical patients, ventilation, international standard stretcher service, and lifting and relocation services for paralyzed patients. Dr. Nahid Yasmin said they also provide these services free of cost for the poor and needy patients. Now, Ad-din has eight hospitals and medical centers in Dhaka, Jashore, Khulna, and Rajshahi. They have 26 service departments in their hospital, which is located in the capital’s Mogbazar, which is well-known as a center for delivery, immunization, and family planning. This hospital has already obtained a high renown in the country for its diagnostic and medical services, and they have all the latest technologies but at a lower cost.
