Dilara Hafiz, the wife of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, died on Saturday at around 11:30 AM Bangladesh time while receiving treatment in Singapore. Her death was confirmed to local media by Md. Emadul Haque, Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat.
Was Undergoing Treatment for a Long Time
Dilara Hafiz had been receiving treatment for a long period at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka. On the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, she was taken to Singapore by air ambulance for advanced medical treatment as her condition worsened. According to Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP media cell, her body will be brought back to Bangladesh on Sunday evening.

Family and Loved Ones in Mourning
Dilara Hafiz is survived by:
- her husband Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed
- one son and one daughter
- grandchildren and many well-wishers
Her family members, relatives, and admirers are mourning her death.
