Stocks rise as turnover reaches Tk 400 crore

Today March 11, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw a continuation of its upward trend, as the benchmark index DSEX, increased 8 points and saw gains for the second straight session. When trading ended this afternoon, the DSEX was up 0.16%, closing at 5,199 points.  Additionally, there was an increase in the blue chip index DS30, which rose 4 points to close at 1,894. Turnover jumped to Tk400 crore a figure not seen in the previous seven sessions, reflecting a notable increase in market activity.

This rise in turnover is a result of increased involvement from investors. Orion Infusion was the biggest performance, with shares worth Tk25.90 crore traded, followed by Lovello Ice cream and Beach Hatchery. S Alam Cold Rolled Steels, on the other hand, showed significant investor interest and became the day’s top gainer. Summit Power, on the other hand, had trouble and finished the session as the least effective.
