On Saturday (22 February), the students of North South University took place in front of their university for justice against violence, rape, and other crimes against women and children. Students expressed and voiced their worries over those incidents of violence and rapes. They said that these incidents show that women’s and children’s lives are threatened, it shown how the government is failing to maintain law and order. They also said they feel unsafe both at home and outside because of robbery, murder, rape, and snatching. They criticized the government’s inability to control the country’s crime law and order. The students assert swift and strict punishment for all rape cases. They warned and said if the government fails to fulfill its responsibilities, students will take the streets alongside those from private universities.
