A 16-year-old boy named Priyotam Rudra reportedly died by suicide after failing his SSC exams, according to his family. The incident occurred on Thursday (July 10) shortly after the results were published in the Hindupara area of Khurushkul Union, Cox’s Bazar Sadar.
Priyotam, a student of Khurushkul High School, allegedly took his own life by hanging after learning that he had failed.

His father, Kanchan Rudra, said he had seen his son and wife having lunch earlier and had no idea he was so distressed.
Later, when relatives noticed no response from inside his room, they broke in and found him hanging. He was rushed to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The tragic incident has left the local community and his school in mourning.
