He revealed this in an exclusive interview with Somoy News, saying Tarique Rahman will return to Dhaka after 17 years of exile, around one or two days after the national election schedule is announced.
Preparations Underway at Residence and Office
Party sources said that after returning from abroad, Tarique Rahman will stay next to his mother’s residence in Dhaka. The house located at 196 Gulshan Avenue is currently being renovated. The walls have been freshly painted, and the boundary wall is being reinforced with barbed wire for extra security.
At the same time, preparations are ongoing at the BNP Chairperson’s office on Road 86, Gulshan-2, where he will operate after his return. Security has been significantly strengthened in and around the office premises.
“He Will Return in the First Week of December”
When asked about the exact timing of Tarique Rahman’s return, Fazle Elahi Akbar told Somoy News that the BNP acting chairman will arrive soon after the election schedule is declared. He said,
