The Chief Adviser has invited Elon Musk to visit Bangladesh

The Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has invited top U.S. businessman and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to visit Bangladesh and has proposed the launch of the Starlink satellite service in the country. In a letter sent to Musk on February 19, the Chief Adviser mentions that Musk’s visit would provide an opportunity to meet the youth of Bangladesh, who would be among the primary beneficiaries of this pioneering technology. The letter states “Let us work together to build a better future.” It also says “Connecting Starlink with Bangladesh’s infrastructure would bring revolutionary changes specially for the country’s dynamic youth, rural and underprivileged women, and remote and underserved communities.” The Chief Adviser has instructed his senior representative, Dr. Khalilur Rahman to closely coordinate with the SpaceX team to complete the necessary tasks ensuring that the groundwork for launching Starlink in Bangladesh is ready within the next 90 working days. Professor Yunus had a long phone conversation with Elon Musk on February 13.
