Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, said, “He (the Chief Adviser) will not stay a single day after June 30.” He also added, “As long as he (Dr. Yunus) is in charge, no harm will come to the country.”
He made these remarks to journalists on Sunday (May 25), following a meeting between the Chief Adviser and 20 leaders from various political parties. He said that everyone had expressed their support for Dr. Yunus. “They have fully supported the reforms we are carrying out, the judicial processes we have initiated, and the steps we are taking towards elections,” he said.

Shafiqul Alam added that many issues were discussed, including elections and reforms. The Chief Adviser reaffirmed his commitment to holding elections between December and June, and said he would not stay even a day beyond June 30. Everyone expressed satisfaction with this statement.
