Speech on the July Charter and the security of martyrs’ families

Sarjis Alam said that if the interim government organizes responsible elections without ensuring the legal basis of the July Charter, without ensuring the security of the martyrs’ families, and without judging the massacre of 24 and the Shapla-BDR killings, then the martyrs’ families and the July fighters will stand against it.

He said,

Translation: If the interim government wants to hold responsible elections without ensuring the legal basis of the July Charter, without ensuring the safety of the martyrs’ families, without judging the 24th massacre, the Shapla-BDR killings, then the martyrs’ families and the July fighters will stand up against this government. If the government only talks about elections, forgetting the martyrs and the injured, then this government will become questionable to the people of Bangladesh.

He added that,

Translation: This government has not started giving any monthly allowance to the families of martyrs. They are in a state of distress at the moment. Arrangements for allowances should be made for them quickly.

New members join

Earlier, Sarjis Alam held a coordination meeting with the Rangpur District and Metropolitan NCP Coordination Committee. After the meeting, many leaders and activists from different political parties joined the NCP, which indicates confidence in the organization and the emergence of a new political force.
