Shamim’s Announcement on Facebook
Independent DUCSU Vice President (VP) candidate Shamim Hossain made a heartfelt statement on Tuesday night. In a Facebook post, he said that if he does not win the VP position, he will step away from politics and return to his studies.

Expressing Support for Future VP
Shamim Hossain emphasized that he would respect the election results and support whoever is elected as VP. He also assured that he will extend his help if the new VP ever needs it.
He wrote on Facebook:
“ফলাফল যেটাই হোক; যিনি ভিপি হবেন আমার পূর্ণ সমর্থন থাকবে এবং তার কোনো সহযোগিতা লাগলে সেটা করব ইনশাআল্লাহ। ভিপি না হলে কাল থেকে আবার পড়ার টেবিলে ফিরে যাব। এখানেই রাজনীতির শেষ।”
Translation: “Whatever the result is, I will give my full support to the person who becomes VP. If he needs any help, I will provide it, Inshallah. If I am not VP, I will return to my study table from tomorrow. This is the end of politics for me.”
A Peaceful Exit from Politics
Shamim Hossain’s statement reflects a calm and respectful approach towards the election. Instead of creating controversy or disputes, he highlighted his willingness to return to academic life if things do not go in his favour.
