Students were asked to create a “Chada Calculator”, a system capable of calculating different types of chada (extorted money), including BusChada and AutoStandChada.
The task was not just humorous but also technically challenging, as students had to implement OOP concepts like inheritance, method overriding, and polymorphism. They were required to design classes, override methods, and perform calculations in line with the meme’s theme.
Adding to the fun, the calculator also needed to account for the iconic “extra 10% for prio ovivabok + singara coke costs.”
Interestingly, the question paper itself has now gone viral on social media, becoming a meme of its own. This incident proves yet again that in Bangladesh, even software engineering and OOP can’t escape the 10% chada culture.
