Chhatra Dal leader Imran Ahmed Sajeeb has been expelled from the organization for entering and vandalizing Pirojpur Government Suhrawardy College and recording a video. Central Chhatra Dal Office Secretary Jahangir Alam confirmed this information in a statement on Friday (November 14) evening.

Attempt to hide identity by vandalizing

Expelled Imran Ahmed Sajeeb is the former vice-president of Pirojpur District Chhatra Dal. Last Thursday morning, he entered a room of the college and vandalized. At that time, he tried to hide his identity by wearing a cap and covering his face. His associates recorded a video at the scene, which later spread on social media, causing a huge reaction.

Video goes viral on social media, students protest

After the video went viral, students started protesting. However, the college authorities could not clarify the purpose of the attack and vandalization on the college.

Authorities’ GD and police investigation

On the night of the incident, the college principal filed a general diary (GD) with Pannalal Dey Police Station. Later, when Sajeeb’s identity was confirmed through video footage and investigation, he was expelled from Chhatra Dal.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pirojpur Sadar Police Station Rabiul Islam said that the matter will be investigated and a report will be submitted to the court.
