Prominent Bangladeshi photographer Shahidul Alam said that he has reached very close to Gaza, Palestine. He shared this information in two separate video messages on Thursday (October 2) at around 7:30 pm and 10 pm. In an earlier message, he said that he was feeling a little unwell, but the doctors accompanying him were taking good care of him.

Flotilla’s journey and Israel’s claims
The relief flotilla ‘Global Sumud Flotilla’ set out for Gaza with 43 ships. However, Israel claimed that all the ships except one had been seized. Although it has not yet been confirmed whether so many ships have actually been seized.
Physical condition and medical assistance
In his latest video message, Shahidul Alam also showed scenes from outside the ship. There, he said that people were looking into his physical condition, but he expressed regret that he could not answer everyone individually. “I vomited today, but it was nothing serious. With 20 doctors and nurses, we are probably getting the best medical support.”

Personal feelings and comments
In the video message, Shahidul Alam also mentioned that the attention he received made him happy. He jokingly said that his niece Mauli used to call him “Damra Queen.” At the end of the video, he said, “I am close to Gaza.”
