At a passionate post-march rally in Kishoreganj, National Citizens’ Party (NCP) South Region Chief Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah urged the youth to stand firmly against corruption, even if it happens within their own families.
“নিজের বাবাও যদি দুর্নীতি করে, এর প্রতিবাদ করতে হবে।”
“Even if your own father is corrupt, you must speak out against it.”
A Call Against Fascism and Extortion
Speaking at Swadhinata Chattar in Old Thana area after a July protest march, Hasnat Abdullah said they have defeated a fascist regime with their blood and won’t allow another form of fascism to rise again.
“আমরা বুকের রক্ত দিয়ে ফ্যাসিস্ট সরকারকে পরাজিত করেছি, আর কোনো ফ্যাসিবাদ কায়েম হতে দেব না।”
“We defeated the fascist regime with our own blood, and we will not let fascism rise again.”
He also mentioned that extortion and corruption are once again surfacing, and everyone must resist it collectively.

“Start the Cleanup from Your Own Home”
Abdullah encouraged the young generation to begin an anti-corruption drive from their own families. He stressed questioning even their fathers if they seem to be living beyond their means.
“তুমি ৩০ হাজার টাকা বেতন পাও, ৪০ হাজার টাকা বাসা ভাড়া দাও কী করে?”
“You earn 30,000 taka, so how can you pay 40,000 for rent?”
He added that NCP workers in Kishoreganj must set themselves apart from other political activists by staying away from corruption, tender manipulation, and extortion.
Unity is Key for a Corruption-Free Nation
Hasnat stressed the need for the youth to unite and stay strong if they want to build a pro-people Bangladesh. He believes that if the young generation remains united, corrupt individuals won’t have a place to hide.
“আমরা যদি ঐক্যবদ্ধ থাকি… দুর্নীতিবাজরা পালানোর জায়গা পাবে না।”
“If we stay united… the corrupt won’t find a place to escape.”
Standing for Palestine
Abdullah also condemned the ongoing violence in Palestine during his speech.
“আমি যখন কথা বলছি ঠিক এই মুহূর্তে লাইনে দাঁড় করিয়ে ফিলিস্তিনি ভাইদের হত্যা করা হচ্ছে।”
“As I speak now, Palestinians are being lined up and killed.”
He called for raising voices against Israeli brutality and standing up for global humanity.
Slogan: “Free Free Palestine!”
Criticism of Interim Government
Hasnat Abdullah criticized the current interim government, saying people expected a reformed state system after the fall of fascism, but instead, the ruling party is trying to regain power using recent events like the Milestone tragedy.
Reforms and Election Demands
He also emphasized that the reforms proposed by NCP must be implemented quickly to ensure a free and fair election. He demanded visible justice and restructuring before moving forward.
