Elias Hossain and activist Sakil came together in a live broadcast to demand the release of innocent BDR members who have been in prison for over 16 years. Families of these members gathered at Shahid Minar, braving the cold night, to demand justice. The Pilkhana tragedy, a dark chapter in Bangladesh’s history, has left many families suffering and searching for fairness.
Sakil, speaking passionately, asked:
“Why is the Ministry of Law delaying this? Why are official decisions being made and then changed overnight? Tomorrow, we want to see these innocent men set free. We are asking for justice from God, the courts, and the government. Please give us justice.”
He urged the authorities to take action and end the suffering of these families.
Elias, known for his bold opinions, stood firmly with the families. He said:
“This nation fought for freedom, not for injustice like this. These BDR members are patriots who have been falsely blamed. They deserve to be free. If there is any conspiracy behind this, it must stop. These families will not leave Dhaka until they get justice.”
He also warned that if justice is not served soon, there could be serious consequences. Elias further assured viewers that he would continue to update the public about the developments through his live sessions, ensuring transparency in the fight for justice.
Aziz, a family member, spoke about the suffering:
“This case is unfair, and everyone knows it. My father and uncles have been in prison for years without justice. We don’t need more delays or fake promises. We need them home now.”
Despite the biting cold of the winter night, many families said they would stay at Shahid Minar until their loved ones were Released.
Sakil made a heartfelt request to the government:
“We have tried to speak to advisors, but they aren’t listening. All we want is for the innocent BDR members to be set free. We ask the media to share this story so that it cannot be hidden anymore.”
Elias ended the live session with a powerful message:
“This isn’t just about these families. It’s about justice for everyone. These innocent men have suffered for 15 years without a fair trial. Let’s all stand with these families and demand justice. Together, we can make a change.”
He also promised to keep everyone informed, saying:
“I will provide updates through my live sessions so that no one is left in the dark. Let’s ensure that this fight for justice stays strong.”
The protest at Shahid Minar is turning into a powerful movement for fairness. Despite the cold, the families remain determined, hoping their voices will finally bring long-awaited justice.
