The Incident in Vadodara
In Gujarat’s Vadodara city, a pani puri (fuchka) vendor faced unexpected trouble when a woman accused him of cheating her. She claimed that instead of six pani puris for ₹20, she received fewer pieces on multiple occasions.
Despite her anger, she admitted that the craving for pani puri was too strong to ignore.
The Woman’s Complaint
According to reports, the woman visited the vendor on two consecutive days. On the first day, she alleged that she was served fewer than six pani puris. The next day, she claimed she received only four instead of six.
This triggered a heated argument, followed by tears and drama. The woman then sat on the road, blocking traffic.

Vendor’s Side of the Story
The vendor, however, denied the allegations. He said the woman frequently demanded extra free pani puris.
When she refused to calm down, the vendor offered her two additional pieces, but she declined and continued her protest.
Police Intervention
The woman escalated the issue by calling the police emergency helpline (112). Officers arrived at the spot and tried to settle the matter. Eventually, the police managed to remove her from the road.
However, her protest had already affected traffic, and the authorities instructed that the vendor’s stall be shifted elsewhere.
Social Media Outrage
The unusual road blockade over missing pani puris quickly went viral on social media. Netizens mocked the incident, pointing out how an entire city’s traffic was disrupted over two pani puris.
Local authorities admitted that they were embarrassed by the viral video.
