A 27-year-old newlywed woman, who had recently returned from the United States, was allegedly gang-raped by a group of robbers at her in-laws’ residence in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district in the early hours of Monday.

According to police, the victim had arrived in Bangladesh two months ago to join her husband at his home in Tiakhali.
