Similar incident recently surfaced in Gurugram with men drinking on a motorcycle.
A playful dare turned into a real-life lesson for a 21-year-old Pune resident named Rahil, who owned a Kawasaki Ninja bearing an illegal number plate reading “Will Run.” The issue took off when his friend, Nitish K, posted the bike’s photo on X, tagging Pune Police with the provocative caption, “Catch me if you can.”
The post also included a Reddit screenshot where a user questioned the presence of such flashy, illegal number plates despite active traffic police and CCTV surveillance at Kothrud fuel stations. In the circulating photo, Rahil was seen in a black hoodie and trousers, posing confidently on his bright-green sports bike.
Pune Police wasted no time in responding. Within minutes, they firmly replied on X: “We can, and we will. Just a matter of time. Watch this space for updates!”

A few hours later, they kept their promise. Police successfully identified and detained Rahil. Soon after, they posted a “before-and-after” update, including a video of the young biker—face blurred—offering a public apology.
In the video, Rahil admitted: “The police noticed it and caught me within an hour. I apologise for this mistake and urge everyone not to do something similar.”
The police captioned the clip with a strong message:
“Street’s not the place to play, boy! We always keep our promises. Turns out the guy wasn’t elusive enough. Played dangerous games, won dangerous prizes.”
“নিজের ব্যবসার জন্য এখন নিজের ওয়েবসাইট — মাত্র কয়েক মিনিটে Storola দিয়ে!”
This incident comes on the heels of a similar trend of reckless behaviour. Last week, a video from Gurugram went viral, showing two men drinking alcohol while riding a moving motorcycle on Sohna Road without helmets blatantly challenging the authorities.
According to PTI, local police have assured strict action. Both incidents underline a growing concern about social media-fuelled stunts that endanger public safety, prompting law enforcement to take swift, visible action.
