Jeran Campanella, a prominent Flat Earth theorist and YouTuber, invested a staggering Rs 31 lakh ($37,000) in an Antarctic expedition to validate his controversial beliefs. His mission aimed to uncover proof that Antarctica functions as an “ice wall” enclosing the flat Earth and to challenge the existence of the 24-hour Sun.
Instead of strengthening his beliefs, the trip took a surprising twist. In the end, Campanella agreed that the Earth is spherical when the facts he collected throughout his trip defied his ideas. His opinions drastically changed as a result, upending the basis of his long-held position.
The expedition, once intended as a cornerstone of Flat Earth theory, has instead become a compelling testament to the power of direct observation and evidence.
