Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister of Pakistan, has referred to Bangladesh as his nation’s “lost brother.”
He called Bangladesh “our lost brother” during a news conference in Islamabad, adding Pakistan will do all in its power to help them, according to the Minute Mirror.
Ishaq pointed out that within a year, the idea that Pakistan was diplomatically isolated had vanished. He went on to say, “We will pursue economic diplomacy, as stated by the Foreign Office.”
The minister also spoke of preparations to travel to Bangladesh, characterizing it as a crucial collaborative partner.
