FIFA Bans Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez for Two Matches Over Offensive Behavior

Emiliano Martinez, Argentina’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper, has been banned for two matches by FIFA due to his offensive behavior. He was found guilty of violating fair play principles in two separate incidents. First, he held a replica of the Copa America trophy to his groin after a match against Chile. He had previously done this with the Golden Glove trophy after the World Cup final. Second, he hit a TV cameraman’s camera with his gloves after a loss to Colombia. The Argentine Football Association expressed their disapproval of FIFA’s decision.
