Germany’s Hellmann Invests 40% in Summit Alliance Port’s CTSL to Strengthen Bangladesh Operations

Germany’s Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is making a major move into Bangladesh by acquiring a 40% stake in Container Transportation Services Ltd (CTSL), a subsidiary of Summit Alliance Port Ltd (SAPL). This partnership marks Hellmann’s commitment to strengthening its operations in one of South Asia’s fastest-growing logistics markets.

Hellmann will invest BDT 2.21 crore by purchasing 3.33 lakh new shares of CTSL at a price of BDT 56.50 per share. This collaboration aims to enhance CTSL’s logistics services while solidifying Hellmann’s position in Bangladesh.

SAPL has been performing well, with rising profits and increasing share prices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange. Analysts believe this deal will help CTSL grow and meet the country’s growing demand for efficient container transportation services.

This partnership highlights Bangladesh’s rising importance in global logistics. By combining Hellmann’s expertise with CTSL’s local presence, the collaboration is set to boost efficiency and support the country’s growing role in international trade.
