Former entrepreneur Ratan Tata’s stepbrother Noel Tata, the largest industrial Groups in India, has been appointed the next chairman of the Tata Trust. At a board meeting in Mumbai on Friday, October 11, Noel was chosen as chairman of the trust. Within two days of Ratan Tata’s passing, the industrial Groups selected its new chairman.
From 1999 until the present, Noel has been employed with Tata Group. The fashion brand Judo and the online store Westside are both operated by Tata Trent, of which he is the Chairman in charge of. Moreover, he leads Tata International and Voltas.
Three names were practiced on becoming the new chairman of the trust after Ratan Tata’s death. They were Lia Tata, Maya Tata and Neville Tata. But Ratan did not marry, childish, then who are these Lia, Maya and Neville? These three are Ratan Tata’s step brother Noel Tata’s three children.
They are already handling the director’s responsibilities in different organizations of Tata Group. Ratan has also shown confidence in Lia, Maya and Neville. Ratan Tata’s father was Naval Tata. Naval’s second wife’s son is 67 years old.
Indian business icon Ratan Tata, who was 87 years old, died on Wednesday (9 October) at the age of 87, breathing last in a hospital in Mumbai.
