This time, 6 people of the same family including 4 children were killed in a fire in a house of the government harborage project of Dharmapasha Upazila of Sunamganj. The accident took place in the Shimerkhal area of Jayashree Union of the upazila on Monday night.
The deceased in this incident are Emarul Mia (42) and his wife Polly Akhtar (35) and their children Palash Mia (12), Farhad Mia (10), Fatema Akhtar (7) and Omar Farooq (3).
Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Ghiyas Uddin, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Dharmapasha Circle Ali Farid and OC Enamul Haque of Dharmapasha Police Station visited the place at around 8 am today (October 1) and confirmed the fact that 6 people were killed. Still, nothing is yet known about the source of the fire.
