Allegation of Organized Online Propaganda
Education and Primary Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has accused social media “bot groups” of spreading organized misinformation against him. He made the remarks on Friday (April 17) at the orientation program of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University in Dinajpur.
“False Rumors About Exam Routine”
The minister said fake posts are being circulated online, including false claims about him. He said,
Translation: “This bot group creates fake photo cards about me and trolls me. Even absurd propaganda is being spread that I will announce exam routines on exam days.”

Criticism of Social Media Misinformation
He also criticized how misinformation spreads rapidly on social media. He said,
Translation: “I said that MPO will not be cancelled even if a school has zero pass. But the bot groups spread that MPO will be cancelled if anyone fails.”
He added that social media is now influencing public perception more than reality. He said a special monitoring cell will be formed within the Education Ministry to oversee university activities, alongside reports from the University Grants Commission (UGC).
