One of the coordinators of the July movement, Abdul Kader, has strongly criticized the current Education and Primary Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon. In a Facebook post on Monday (April 13), he questioned the minister’s qualifications and performance. He writes,
“আমাদের শিক্ষামন্ত্রী তার যোগ্যতা এবং চরিত্র অনুযায়ী সর্বোচ্চ গেলে মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধীনস্থ একটা ‘নকল ধরা কমিটি’র আহ্বায়ক হতে পারেন। শিক্ষামন্ত্রী হওয়ার মতো যোগ্যতা কিংবা কর্মকাণ্ড তার থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত দৃশ্যমান হয়নি।”
Translation: “Our education minister, based on his qualifications and character, can at best become the convener of a ‘cheating prevention committee’ under the ministry. So far, no qualification or work suitable for an education minister has been visible from him.”

Abdul Kader Alleged Limited Focus
Abdul Kader further criticized the minister by saying that he only talks about methods of catching cheating during exams. Abdul Kader expressed,
“এক নকল ধরার বিভিন্ন কৌশল ছাড়া অন্য কোনো আলাপ তার ভেতর থেকে আসে না। শিক্ষার মানোন্নয়ন, শিক্ষাখাতের বিদ্যমান অচলায়তন অবস্থা নিরসন নিয়ে তার কোনো আলাপ নাই, কাজ নেই। পড়ে আছেন নকল আর দলীয় বৃত্তি নিয়ে!”
Translation: “Other than different strategies to catch cheating, nothing else comes from him. There is no discussion or work from him regarding improving education quality or solving the existing stagnation in the education sector. He remains focused only on cheating and party-based scholarships!”
